It was brought to my attention yesterday that when you ask a doctor for specific help in dealing with a situation like this that they only seem to offer councelling either by phone or in person neither is an arganisation dealing with the trauma caused by injustice. Any other service is not readily available to the doctor to offer and they then have to go and look into it................ yet more time waiting for help! Its great to see you have a section to cover this and hope some people will in turn benefit.
Continued support and Good luck with the web page!

A very valid point and one which my family can certainly relate to though for myself it is only since my release that I can talk of care available from doctors/counselling since my release which has I have to say been quite good. I would like to stress that in fairness to the medical profession who do a great job dealing with people's conditions, they are over-run as it is and should not be having to compensate for injustice by treating the result of it.
I feel, like I think you are suggesting that this particular area of support should be provided by those with practical experience of the situation who can empathise with the stresses and trauma's which result. I personally am willing to speak with anyone either through the site or by phone if they feel it would help them to find ways of coping which is why I will not only be studying law but psychology also. These services should be funded by the justice system itself rather than draining NHS resources which are already too limited for what they are expected to provide.

Mojo Scotland has been running a grand idea.
The idea is to get enough money to open their own trauma centre, dealing with Miscarraiges of justice.

Members of our Armed services get help with post traumatic stress disorder so should the innocent.

A very good post, thank you.
I think members and guests of the forum who visit the mojo site will note that it is funded by the Scottish government. This point in itself to me at least shows that even the government accepts that this is a problem!
